Louisa's silly little heart


This is an ultrasound of a normal 4-chamber heart I copied from the web.

On the left is an actual echo image of Louisa's heart from Friday.  When you compare to the one above, you can see the shrunken left ventricle on the lower right of the image (which is her left side).  You can also see how the atrial septum (the wall between the two atria) is wide open allowing blood to flow freely across it since there isn't any blood flowing through the left ventricle.  And on the right is a beautiful shot of her pretty lips and nose smushed up against the placenta.  She's a cutie isn't she!
